Does KS do partial basement finishes?
Yes.
Can we make changes to our basement plan after construction has begun?
In most cases, yes. KS Construction will provide a change order defining the change in plan and price. The change order must be signed by the homeowner before any work will commence. In some cases where items have already been installed or special order items cannot be returned, changes cannot be made without substantial cost to the homeowner.

What is the estimated cost to finish a basement?
A basic basement finish with standard materials and no extras will usually run around $30 per square foot. The more elaborate the design, materials and extra features, the more expensive the price. Bathrooms are the most expensive room to finish per square foot, so a small basement with one bathroom will have a higher cost per square foot than a larger basement with one bathroom, assuming all other things are equal.
How long will it take to finish my basement?
Smaller basements generally finish within two months. Larger basements could take longer depending on the complexity of the project and the specific amenities included.
Do I need a permit to finish my basement?
KS Construction will not finish a basement without a permit or under the home owners permit. KS pulls their own permit for all basement finishes. Working under a permit insures you, the homeowner, that all inspections are met and your basement finish has passed all building codes. If you plan to resale your home, you will be asked if any work has been done without a permit. If any work has been done without a permit, the owner will be required to pull a permit at that time and have the work inspected.
